Responsibilities of Roadmark Driving School ("School") & its Instructors ("Instructor")

  1. The School is committed to delivering training promptly and with a high level of professionalism.

  2. The School is to ensure the Driver Training vehicle is clean and in excellent operational order. It is to be equipped with a valid license plate, registration, and insurance coverage.

  3. Rest assured that your Instructor is authorized by Alberta Transportation. Upon request, they will readily provide their instructor's license and operator's license for your verification.

  4. In the event that a lesson needs to be cancelled due to circumstances such as Instructor illness or vehicle issues, the School will go above and beyond to find a suitable alternative and reschedule the lesson according to the Student's convenience.

  5. The Instructor will give full attention to the Student during the in-vehicle lesson. The Instructor's cellphone will not be used unless the vehicle is safely stopped and the Student gives permission. 

  6. An in-vehicle report card/student summary with a detailed evaluation will be completed by the Instructor and explained to the Student upon the conclusion of each lesson. 

  7. Please be aware that any promotions or offers will be exclusively determined and adjusted by the School. Your satisfaction and success are our utmost priorities.

Responsibilities of  The Student ("Student")

  1. The Student is required to hold at least a Class 7 Alberta license and must keep the license with them throughout all in-vehicle training sessions.

  2. A Student who attends a course that offers a Driver Education Course Completion Certificate must have the required minimum hours of training for the specific course and must pass the applicable examination/performance evaluation before they can receive the certificate.

  3. Any acts of negligence on the Student's part that result in damages or fines will be the responsibility of the Student.

  4. Learning to drive must be taken seriously. Students are expected to fully engage in both classroom and in-vehicle lessons. Inappropriate behaviors, including but not limited to substance use, offensive language, repeated tardiness, and so on, will not be tolerated. The Instructor reserves the right to halt the lesson at their discretion, with the associated costs borne by the Student.

  5. Throughout Driver Training lessons, whether in-class or in-vehicle, the Student is prohibited from using electronic devices, including cellphones.

  6. Should the Student need to cancel a lesson, a notice of at least 24 hours in advance is required to avoid a $50.00 cancellation fee. The decision to waive this fee is solely at the School's discretion.
